Overview

The Robofusion A5800 is a 5.8GHz omnidirectional dipole antenna purpose-matched to the VT5804 and VT5805 analog video transmitters. Built with LDS (Laser Direct Structuring) — the antenna element is laser-drawn onto a molded carrier, so every unit is tuned identically — and protected by a semi-transparent radome. Unlike most FPV antennas sold on marketing claims, the A5800 ships with a complete anechoic-chamber lab report: measured VSWR, gain, efficiency, and full radiation patterns, all published in our knowledge base.

Sold as a 2-pack — the antenna is the first thing to take a hit in any rough landing, and a matched spare in your field bag means the session doesn't end there.

Why VSWR matters: any mismatch reflects transmit power straight back into the VTX output stage. At 2.5–4W that reflected power becomes heat inside your transmitter — a well-matched antenna like this one is cheap insurance for a high-power module. Mounting Tip

A dipole radiates a "donut" pattern with nulls off its tip. Mount the A5800 vertically (radome up or down) so the strong equator of the pattern sweeps the horizon — video stays steady as the aircraft turns. Never point the antenna tip at your ground station. Compatibility

Connects to the VT5804 (2.5W) and VT5805 (4W) video transmitter modules via the MMCX extension feeder included with each module. The 5350–5850MHz design band covers the LOW band, Raceband, FS/IRC, and A/B bands — everything North American pilots normally fly. (The three highest E-band channels, 5905–5945MHz, sit above the design band.)
