Overview
The Robofusion VT5804 is a 5.8GHz analog video transmitter (VTX) module for long-range and freestyle FPV. It delivers up to 2.5W (2500mW) across four switchable power levels, covers 48 channels on 6 bands (including Raceband), and accepts a wide 7–36V input that runs directly from 2S–8S packs — no external BEC required. The 30.5×30.5mm bolt pattern drops straight onto standard full-size flight-controller stacks, and band, channel, and power are tunable from your Betaflight/iNav OSD over TBS SmartAudio or with the onboard button.

Getting Started
Wiring takes minutes with the single 6-pin connector: battery or PDB to VIN/GND, camera video to VIDEO, camera power from the regulated 5V VOUT, and (optionally) a flight-controller UART TX to RX_OSD for SmartAudio control. Full pinout and diagram: VT5804 Wiring Guide.
⚠ Never power on without an antenna attached — reflected RF energy can permanently damage the output stage within seconds.

Note: antenna not included. The VTX must never be powered on without a 5.8GHz antenna connected to the MMCX port — running a high-power VTX without an antenna will permanently damage the output stage. Please source a compatible antenna before first use.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this VTX work with Betaflight OSD power control?
A: Yes. It speaks TBS SmartAudio over a single UART TX pad. Once enabled in Betaflight or iNav, you can switch band, channel, and power from the OSD without landing.
Q: Can I power it directly from a 6S or 8S battery?
A: Yes — 7–36V covers 2S (≈7.4V) through 8S (≈33.6V fully charged) directly. For 8S HV packs that may exceed 36V at full charge, use a standard 8S pack or add a step-down regulator.
Q: Will it fit a standard FC stack?
A: Yes — the 30.5×30.5mm pattern matches common full-size FC/ESC stacks. It does not natively fit 20×20mm micro stacks.
Q: Is the LOW band legal in my country?
A: The LOW band (5362–5621MHz) overlaps frequencies not authorized for unlicensed operation in many regions, including the US (FCC) and Canada (ISED). Compliance is the operator's responsibility — North American pilots typically operate on Raceband, FS/IRC, or specific A/B/E channels.
Q: Does it have a built-in microphone?
A: No — the VT5804 transmits CVBS video only. For audio, use an FPV camera with an integrated microphone.
Q: Does it support IRC Tramp?
A: No — TBS SmartAudio only, which is natively supported by all current Betaflight and iNav firmware.
